CAMP Henry

also known as

Camp Hank

this senior camp was unique in that we had very, very rustic cabins. Actually, one of the cabins used to be a chicken Shack, no foolin', and the cabins were basicly very primitive. We had an Outhouse but the washrooms were a half mile away through trails and mud. When Bill and i went up to Camp Hank to check it out, we thought that it was perfect for the present senior class since they were more used to the upscale camping facilities of the Past. Also the ropes course was really cool with some new low elements that we had never done before.

Camp Hank had some very memorable experiences. The Zip Line really had a kick to it, the Ropes Instructors were not so good, and who can forget that wild and crazy horse making noise in the middle of the night. Also, this is the camp where Andy got dropped by an instructor belaying him off the climbing wall, Jeff corrected an instructor on the proper use of a harness, and another instructor got somewhat angry and stormed off to the next event when we completed an event by taking our shoes off and holding them together since he said "our shoes have to be touching". BY the end, Andy and Jeff had their Mouths taped shut and were handicapped severely by the instructors. At this camp, we also experienced Bird Lofting for the First Time. Also, Late at night around the camp Fire, our campers witnessed strange lights in the sky which were mark and Jeff on the climbing tower with flares and a flashlight, and this is also the camp where Mark was cured of his illness by duct taping with the Super 100 MPH Duct Tape.

Eventually, I hope to get some pictures up of this camp. Until then, Check out something else.
