DAY 2

WAKE UP

BRIDGE DAY!!!  LET'S GO WATCH FOLKS JUMP OFF THE BRIDGE.  Actually, they are base jumping.  Still, it's exciting and after we've had enough, we go climbing.

This day is the day for climbing.   After breakfast, we'll move out and travel across the New River Gorge Bridge to the Visitors Center.  Here, we learn a little about the history of the area and the coalmines, and also, get some climbing info.

From here, we travel down the mountain and CLIMB various routes along the New River Gorge.  All routes will be Top Roping with anchors set up by TEAM RCI.

Next, we do some more exploring on the rim of the gorge.  for a sample of what you might find exploring, read this...THIS.

We could possibly climb at other locations, but this is up to the people who go.

After a long day, we eat dinner at

DIRTY ERNIE'S RIB PIT.

AFTERWARDS, we close out the trip with a meeting reflecting on the trip and processing certain points.

DAY 3

7:00am: WAKE UP

7:30 am: B-fast

8:00 am:  We hand you over to River's.   They let you watch a video on rafting, then give you a paddle and lifejacket. Hop on the bus and we're on our way, about a 45 minute drive, to the put in point on the Gulley.

Constant paddling, many rapids, be on your guard or you'll end up in the water.

Lunchtime:  We stop on the banks of the Gulley for lunch.  Don't worry, it's pretty tasty.

Ok, now we are in for some CLASS IV and V+ rapids, more of 'em.

4pm After a full day of rafting, we go back to camp, and eat dinner courtesy of RIVERS.

The rest of the day is free time to explore and take care of the sunburns you received on the river from not using waterproof sunblock.

DAY 4

In the morning, we depart for HOME (unless you'd like another day to climb and explore the area.)
